4A Arts Expands Board of Directors with Producer, Writer, Director & Developer
James Brown III
New York, N.Y., November 15, 2024 —Today, 4A Arts (American Alliance of Artists and Audiences) announces the expansion of its Board of Directors with James Brown III. This growth in the nonprofit arts advocacy organization reflects its growing leadership in the national arts ecosystem, particularly with respect to its current initiative, Organizing for the Arts (O4A), in which 4A Arts employs grassroots organizing techniques turning citizens from arts consumers into arts advocates.
“I’m very excited to join 4A Arts as it expands its influence in changing hearts and minds about the American creative industry,” said James Brown III. “I’ve been an actor, director, writer, producer, and now real estate developer in the creative sphere. Throughout my career, I’ve seen people thriving when they engage with the arts, and I’ve seen communities suffering for lack of access. 4A Arts is helping right this wrong, strengthening communities and small town economies, all while inspiring and entertaining”
James Brown III’s performing career includes dancing with Michael Jackson to performing in 12 Broadway shows as an actor, singer, dancer, and assistant choreographer. Brown is now the President and co-founder of Story House, Inc. which is developing Story House Village, a thoughtfully designed 240+ acre community for all ages and lifestyles honoring the beauty of the land and pioneering a sustainable film industry in the Mountain West by building state-of-the-art film studios. Story House is creating 435+ jobs for Wyoming & Mountain West residents; SH, INC has a targeted hiring goal of 25% veterans, families of veterans, Indigenous Peoples, or displaced energy workers and a plan to provide vocational and educational opportunities for the next generation of American filmmakers.
“4A Arts is humbled and honored to have James Brown III join our team. James brings a host of experiences and talent to add to our toolbox, in addition to a foothold in Los Angeles, Miami, and the state of Wyoming,” said Gavin Lodge, 4A Arts Executive Director. “With James on the team, I’m optimistic we will supercharge our effort to inspire citizens to transform from arts consumers into arts advocates.”
