Creative Aging Network-NC
In January 2019, CAN-NC was awarded a property donation at 2400 Summit Avenue (in partnership with the former HandyCapable Network which has since dissolved) by Bell House, Inc., an assisted-living for persons with neurological and physical disabilities forced to close in 2014 due to federal and state policy changes and associated funding cuts. With 10 acres of wooded areas, streams, and fields, our campus has served as a catalyst for expanding collaborations with community partners such as Guilford Urban Farming Initiative, Elsewhere, Montagnard Dega Association, CoMetta, Casa Azul, UNCG, A&T University, New Garden Friends School and more.
