Dahlias for the Garden
Location: Reynolda Gardens Education Wing and Zoom
Jimmy Speas, who has been instrumental in the recent formation of the Central Carolina Dahlia Society, will share best practices for growing dahlias. Bed preparation, planting, and care will be discussed, as well as cutting tips for displaying blooms in your home. The types and classes of dahlias will be reviewed, and blooms of different varieties will be shared to inspire next year’s garden selections.
This event is part of the Gardens’s Tuesday Gardening series. Whether you are just discovering your green thumb or you have two green hands, all gardening levels are welcome. View all Tuesday Gardening talks.
