Caregiver/Child: Improv Storytelling with Puppets (Ages 5-10)By Durham Arts Council
Join in with this fun online puppeteering workshop! We will create puppets to tell stories together in playful, improvisational styles. Puppeteers are invited to collect some treasures before the workshop to help tell their stories. Objects from the natural world (shells, acorns, feathers, stones etc.), animal friends (cut out magazine images, stuffed animals, even a well behaved pet), or favorite costume clothing are welcome!
During the session students will explore adaptations of improv games, with a focus on surprising twists and turns, everyday dilemmas, and community celebrations. Good listening skills are a must. Other important requirements include being silly, accepting of others, open to new experiences, and joyful. Let’s play with puppeteering!
Pre registration is required.
