The GMoA is soliciting original artworks for the silent auction for this prestigious event. Artists are welcome to either consign or donate works of art. To coincide with these auctions, the GMoA is also excited to acknowledge the artists who support the art community of Greenville and Pitt County by having the artwork on display in our gallery space(s) prior to the event. The Fine Arts Celebration will be held at the Greenville Museum of Art on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 7:00 – 11:00pm.
Visual artists, 18 years of age and older, working in all styles and media are invited to submit work, including painters, sculptors, ceramists, fiber artists, jewelers, photographers, and mixed media artists. Each artist selected for the auction will be able to set the minimum bid price for their work. The final auction bid for each consigned artwork sold will be divided equally (50/50) between the artist and the Museum. All proceeds from each donation to the auction will go to the GMoA.
Proceeds from your support will directly benefit the GMoA’s exciting schedule of exhibitions and programs, as well as its art education and outreach programs. Without the support of donors like you, these offerings would not be possible. This showcase of artists from across the region can be a great benefit to both established and emerging talent by connecting them to the Museum’s core audience of collectors and art enthusiasts, an audience that extends beyond Eastern North Carolina. Last year’s virtual silent auction resulted in over $13,000 in sales, with over 60 artworks and other items sold. The in-person auction display and online preview will celebrate each artist with an artist profile, and will be marketed through social media.
